Sanctuaries in Costa Rica adopt baby sloths that have been abandoned by their mother, take care of them, teach them how to survive, and then return them to nature. At the Sanctuaries, these little animals that love to grab, spend hours embracing the trees or stuffed animals. Costa Rica has a high rate of babies abandoned by their mother, and one theory suggests that this may be related to a genetic mutation caused by pesticides.
